family we helped

we helped a family for the holidays a young mom with 2 small kids (4 and 6) who's sister passed away in a ICU back in June leaving behind 2 kids(3 and 5) so now this girl is raising 3 - 4 -5 - and 6 yr olds. WOW is right. we all pinched in and either bought or gave funds I delivered to their home Tuesday before Christmas. I got there the kids were upstairs all the gifts were wrapped and in bags when I got them all inside they flew down the stairs the 3 yr old grabbed me around the leggs I sat down on the couch and she climbed in my lap put her hand on my face and looked up at me with those big eyes and said ( are you santa clause) I almost lost it i replied im a helped we laughed and talked the little boy asked did I fly in on a sleigh I said yes but landed at the airport and borrowed a truck it was the cuties thing I ever saw. Then the lady showed me photos of her sister and the little 3 yr old said that's my mom she passed away she in heaven what a precious child
it was an honor to be apart of their Christmas

ICU need your help

Dear friends
If you have received a bag or been affected by this ministry in any way and would be willing to tell your story please let me know. I am honored that a local new channel has contacted me about spotlighting The ICU Ministry. It will be filmed Thursday the 8th December starting around 1030am at the Byron depot it is our regular workshop. They are interested in what we do as well as hearing stories from folks we touch. We deliver hundreds of bags a year and we don't get a chance to know those families. So if you or someone you know could help make this story let me know. Also if you want to come help that day all volunteers are wanted. I will be there set up around 930am Thanks for your time and may god continue to bless us all.

Thankful

Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Ours was nice anytime you get to see the Grand baby its thankful. Well the Christmas rush and chaos has begun. We all want to have festive things and get together s for the holidays. But lets please remember all the fancy things aren't important its the little things that matter so as you enter this holiday be thoughtful of others and spend time with the people you love and help your neighbors and friends. Its harder on folks this time of year with money and time to complete all the tasks. We will be making our annual trip to the ICU'S on Christmas morning. Anyone interested in being a part of this or helping with the preparing the bags are the food we deliver let me know.
Also if you someone needs help this holiday that we can help let us know.

much needed ramp

Here is a photo of the ramp we had installed for a needy family. The husband is not doing well and they needed a ramp to get him out of the home. We took some of the money we raised at the battle to have this ramp made. A special thanks to David Holleman for building this ramp for the Weisenbergers.

God is always listening

Last Friday I delivered bags to the hospital while there I was told from one of the regular girls at the desk that she was upset and feeling that people were not appreciated of the bags they seem to go threw and take what they want and leave the rest I told her that I wasn't happy to hear that but that I couldn't quite making them because if we help anyone that its worth it. I left and discussed this issue with my hubby later that weekend. Feeling down about it I went on with my regular routine.
Monday morning I received an email from a fellow who had spent the night in the ICU waiting area and wanted to thank me for the wonderful bag after his sweet comments he stated that he didn't use some of the items so he left them for someone else to use::::

Well GOD will keep you straight it wasn't that they were not appreciated it was that they are sensitive to others and don't want to waste our hard work.

That same morning I received an phone call from an Albany woman that wanted to say thank you she discovered the bags at 5 am in the morning, since she didn't need the blanket or pillow she left them neatly beside the other bags.

Sorry God I will do better with my thinking and go positive unstead of negative next time!

New Venture

I'm am excited about a new venture that I am embarking on. But I will need info from others to accomplish this mission. I am looking for people in need. If you know such individuals or family's email me or call with their request. Some examples would be as follows::

Need home cooked meal delivered
Need an error ran for them
Need a card sent to cheer them up
Need a visit or hug

This is a beautiful world we live in. And times are hard so its easy to get overwhelmed or depressed. So I want to help in some small way Little things do matter. This is in the early stages of my Venture but my plans are to do at least one good deed a week I will set one day aside to do something for somebody. But I need some request I cant get to everyone one of them I'm sure but small steps. I want to get the request and fulfill as many as I can under cover. I wont tell who requested unless you want them to know. Sometimes we all need a little help but would be embarrassed for folks to know so the low profile will help keep their pride. So let me know if you know of a deserving person. I cant do everything but heres some of my passions

Seniors
sewing
cooking
TALKING
fellowship
surprising
just to name a few

Thanks for you time and helping me make someones day.
